Our Mission

Our Mission

No One Fights Alone

At the Community Cancer Assistance Center (CCAC), we believe that a cancer diagnosis should never be a journey taken in isolation. We serve as the first point of contact for residents across Monroe, Wayne, and Washtenaw Counties, providing a clear path forward from the moment of diagnosis.

As a premier Patient Concierge, we bridge the gap between world-class medical treatment and the essential realities of daily life

The Three Pillars of the CCAC Hub

We understand that Monroe residents often travel to Beaumont, Henry Ford, and U of M for care. We coordinate the logistics of these trips, helping you find the right specialists and securing housing or lodging so you can stay close to your medical team without the stress of travel.
The "business of cancer" can be overwhelming. We partner with experts like Alice Rice, Social Security Advocate, and the Disability Network to ensure your legal rights and disability benefits are secured. Beyond the red tape, we fundraise specifically for daily needs—helping cover the costs of groceries, utilities, and rent so you can focus entirely on healing.
Recovery is as much emotional as it is physical. Our mission includes connecting you with specialized therapists, support groups, and restorative activities designed for both patients and caregivers. We are proud to fuel the mission of Ribbons of Monroe, ensuring that local funds stay local to help our neighbors in need.

Why the “Concierge” Model?

Most organizations provide a list of resources; we provide a partnership. When you call CCAC, you aren’t just getting a referral—you are getting a dedicated advocate who manages the “everything else” of a diagnosis.

From coordinating a personal fundraiser for your family to ensuring you have a ride to your next chemotherapy appointment in Ann Arbor, we handle the logistics so you can focus on the fight.

Why a Partnership with Ribbons of Monroe?

CCAC serves as the administrative and fundraising engine that powers grassroots impact. By identifying grants and corporate sponsorships across our three-county service area, we provide the sustainable funding required to keep local resources like Ribbons of Monroe strong and responsive to the community’s needs.
